A: Yes! If your hangers ever fail due to materials or workmanship, we will gladly replace them!
A: Tapping on the wall will give you some idea as to where your studs are. A dull sound usually indicates a stud, whereas a 'booming' sound usually means no stud.
A: Try rocking the hanger up and down as you push. The wall is only a half-inch thick, so once you get it in half an inch it should get much easier.
A: If you get the hanger in about half an inch, then it just won't go any farther. You may be trying to place it right where a wooden stud is supporting the wall. Take it out and move it 1and 1/2 inches to the left or right.
A: Measure 1 and 1/2 inches to the right and 1 and 1/2 inches to the left and use two hangers. Make sure that they are exactly level with each other. Now slip the wire on the back of the picture over both hangers and slide it left or right until you have it exactly where you want it.
A: You can do this as long as the mirror is less than 1/4 inch thick. Apply two ThumbsUp! To the wall at the level that you wish for the bottom of the mirror. Make certain that they are both at the same level. The hangers should be placed so that they will be 2 to 6 inches in from where the edges of the mirror will be. Measure up from the lower hangers the same distance as the height of the mirror plus 1/8 inch and apply two more hangers to the wall. Slip the lower edge of the mirror into the hangers, and then place two ThumbsUp! mirrorClips over the ears of the top hangers. Your mirror should now be secure.
A: You may have a wall that is made of something other than wallboard. Older homes may have a thin layer of very hard plaster over the wallboard. This plaster is difficult to penetrate. Some very old homes have interior walls constructed with many thin strips of wood, called lathe, over which a very hard plaster is applied by hand. Occasionally, remodeled homes may have had a layer of wallboard applied right over old, hard plaster and lathe walls. If your walls look like wood, they may be paneled with wood or hardboard. Such walls are not suitable for use with the ThumbsUp!
A: Since the ThumbsUp! is sharp, leave it in the packaging until you are ready to use it. When applying it to the wall, take care to point the sharp point away from you and any other person.
